Five local dads from Sawston in Cambridgeshire decided to take up the challenge of riding their bikes from Sawton to Paris to raise funds for Sawston Youth Group and Magpas.

Remtec have a commitment to support local charties and groups and was delighted to be asked to help make this epic journey feasible for the dads by funding the ferry trip across to the continent.

This has very much been a community venutre with PW Accountants providing the t shirts and the local pub the Greyhound helped to raise funds over the summer months by putting on lots of fund raising events and Welches in Great Shelford providing the support vehicle.

Sawston Youth Group offers opportunities to over 60 young people from the local community, in and around Sawston; as members, they benefit from the social, educational, spiritual, and fun activities provided each week, also the opportunity to attend an annual 5 day residential. The dads were thrilled to be able to present the youth group with a cheque for £1500 last week.  You can donate to this very worthy cause by going to https://localgiving.com/charity/sawstonyouthgroup
